5 Months!!!

I can't believe Ian is already 5 months old!!!

Ian has claimed one of his many stuffed animals for his favorite:) It is so cute! He LOVES his tiger. He hugs it, talks to it, drools on it, and tries to eat it.

I am still working on losing my baby weight (5 more lbs!! WooHoo!!) so I finally got out the jogging stroller and Ian, Annie, Mia and I have been walking around Buffalo Bayou almost everyday. Mia can't make it the whole way so she rides with Ian for part of the trail. I had to stop putting her in the stroller with Ian for her own safety. Ian likes to grab and pull her ears and seems to think they are teething toys:( Now she rides in the sunshade on top:)

Along the way there is a dog park and we stop so that Annie and Mia can play. It was a bit bright out so Ian borrowed my shades:) Cool dude!!!

We went to Ozona at the end of February for a family funeral. Shannon's Uncle Bud passed away:( It was a sad occasion but it was great to see everyone. And Ian was there to make Nana smile:)

We took Ian on the boat for the first time earlier this month. He had a great time and did not fuss at all on the ride. The baby vest was so big on him. Hopefully it will fit better this summer because he is going to be spending a lot of time on the boat:)
We also made another trip to San Antonio this month to see Nana and Pappy. Pappy got sick right before the trip and had to stay home and Whitney unfortunately, had to work.  We had a great time but missed them. Honey, Carl and Trent came down from Austin for dinner and Hope, Cody and his girlfriend Marta stayed at the hotel.  It was my first time to meet Marta and she was so much fun and great with Ian. I am so glad she was able to come:).  We stayed at a great place that has a spa, HUGE baby pool, lazy river, and a playground.  It will be a great place to stay when Ian is older:).  All the girls went for massages on Sunday before we had to check out and Uncle Cody watched Ian.

Ian is eating more solid food now. I have made sweet potatoes, squash, green beans and peas so far. He loves all of them, except green beans.

The weather was nice last weekend so Whitney and I replanted our courtyard. It turned out great!! Good job Whitney:)

I told my Aunt Honey that I wanted to start sewing. She decided I needed my own sewing machine and surprised me with one!!!! I have gone a little crazy with it. I started with a pillow because I figured that was fairly simple. I have never used a sewing machine:)

Next I made some diapers and a diaper cover for Ian. I still have a lot to learn but it has been so much fun making things. THANKS HONEY!!!!!

Ian has one tooth coming in and tries to chew on everything!!! Whitney's hat happened to be in the line of fire:) So far his teething has not been too bad. He has not been extra fussy but he doesn't sleep as well at night. Hopefully that is the worst of it:)
Also new this month: Ian is rolling over:) He can now roll from his tummy to his back and from his back to his tummy. Yea Ian!! :)

4 Months!!!

Ian is about to be 4 months old!!! He is getting so big and has changed so much.

Ian really likes his Jumperoo!!! When he first got it he just kind of stared at the toys and then cried after a couple minutes but he figures it out more and more everyday and now he LOVES to bounce!! (Sorry the video quality is pretty bad! I'm trying to figure out the best way to format it on my computer but nothing is really working)

Ian tries to hold his own bottle and apparently he is learning sign language!! (Check out his right hand:)

Mimi still thinks she is the baby!

Hanging out in the Bumbo

Just Cuteness!!!!

Poor little guy got RSV last week and has had to be on breathing treatments. He was not a huge fan of the mask even though it was cute. (Its a duck beak and eyes) He is much better now but still has a little cough. Good news... WE both survived his first illness:)

Last week Ian and I met Pappy in San Antonio just to hang out! It was so much fun and worked out great because it is 1/2 way between Ozona and Houston. Pappy let me and my cousin Hope go out for the afternoon while he got in some Ian time!!! I think we will be doing this again soon. Especially because Ian's Nana was not able to come and Ian misses his Nana:)
We were surprised to find out that Aunt Honey and Uncle Carl were in San Antonio also to have dinner with our cousins Elizabeth and Rachel from California. We tagged along and had a great time. We had to wait at the restaurant for about 1 1/2 hours for a table and Ian was such a good boy! He slept in Aunt Honey's lap most of the time.

Thought it would be fun to let Ian dress himself one day. (I get bored) I held out two options and which ever one he hit/grabbed/tried to eat first was what he wore. I think the picture probably tells you how that experiment went. I guess his fashion sense has not kicked in yet:)

Ian loves his feet. Especially when they are bright green polka dots!!

It has been cold in Houston!! Burrrrrr!

At Ian's 4 month check up, we got the go ahead to start trying some solid foods. We have tried rice cereal and carrots so far. He gets the idea of how to get the food in his mouth off the spoon but is not real sure what to do with it after that. He usually plays with is for a few seconds then spits it out.

On Friday Whitney had a snow day from work. Unfortunately that just means he gets to work from home so I went to Jeff and Stephanie's for the day so he could work in peace:)

On Sunday Jeff, Reed, Grant and Archie Dog came to hang out at our house. The boys wanted to watch Diego and Ian watched too!!

Houston weather is crazy!! Friday we have ice on all the roads and Sunday it was beautiful (in the high 60s low 70s) So we took all of the kids to the playground and walked around Buffalo Bayou to enjoy the warm weather while we have it. Ian had a good time "hanging" out with his Daddy. Ian loves being outside.

3 months!!!

Ian is now 3 1/2 months old. Crazy!! Things have been pretty uneventful since Christmas. We have been laying low around the house but Ian has hit a few milestones along the way. I only have pictures of some of them because he gets camera shy and I can't seem to catch him in the act.  Ian is now grabbing toys, drooling A LOT!, sleeping through the night!!, "talking" (cooing) all the time, and he has rolled over once on his own.

Ian's Nana gave him really cute t-shirts for Christmas in different sizes so he can wear them at each stage. They say things like "My Nana Loves Me!" "If You Think I'm Cute, You Should See My Nana!" "What Happens at Nana's Stays at Nana's". Anyway, they are soooo cute!

TUMMY TIME!!!

OOPS!! I guess Tummy Time should not be done right before bed:)

Watching TV with Mommy!

Sleeping in Nursery!!

Ian's room stays way colder than the rest of the house so we had to get a space heater for the nursery! It has a thermostat and works great! Unfortunately for Ian, when we got it he had to start sleeping in his own room:(

Putting Ian down for the first night in his crib! I was kind of sad but it was time:( (Honey- Notice the quilt on the side of the bed? It matches perfectly!! I love it:))

Ian obviously did not mind moving to his room and slept from 7:30pm to 7:30am. He is such a good sleeper:)

Annie LOVES her Ian!!! She goes to him anytime
he cries and tries to make him stop!! So cute!

SOOO serious!!!

Ian is just now starting to play with things.
This is one of his favorite toys. It doesn't really do
anything, but he loves to hold it and chew on it!!

Whitney and ALL of his babies watching sports.
Baylor basketball was not televised so they
watched on the computer while some other game was on the TV.

My mom (CoCo) got Ian a Jumperoo for Christmas.
He is still a little short for it but loves to play with the toys!!

Ian swaddled for a nap in his swing:)

OOPS! lost our binky! Ian is not much of a binky baby. If he is not tired he just gets mad if you try to give it to him and he only uses it for a few minutes before he falls asleep then spits it out.

**I am working on getting videos on here but having issues. Stay tuned!!
