16 months 2 months

I am loving life right now:) Ian is at such a fun age and Spencer is doing great!!
Ian is taking his time really talking but says a few words inconsistantly. He calls for our dogs Annie and Mimi and we THINK he tells them "Good Girl" but it is hard to make out. He also says duck, hello, go, milk, no, dada, mama, blue, ball and "boo" (book). He also said I love you "La La You" and gave me a kiss before nap a few days ago. I swear I didn't cry:)!!!! He runs everywhere and is getting into all kinds of trouble:) He is also obsessed with buckles!! He goes around the house and latches anything with buckles (highchairs, carseats, strollers, bouncy seats) EVERYTHING is buckled up.
Spencer is sleeping 9-11 hours most nights. Crazy for 2.5 months old but I am not complaining. He is a very content baby. He cries when he needs something but is pretty happy just to hang out in his bouncy seat or in your lap most of the time.  A few differences between Spencer and Ian at this age are that Spencer cannot stand to be in a wet diaper and Ian couldn't have cared less if he was wet or dirty (still doesn't). Ian was much harder to get to sleep, although once asleep he slept great. Ian, even at Spencer's age, was showing signs that he was going to be a fun-loving crazy kid. He is definitely our extrovert. Spencer is a very happy baby but he just seems more serious.

We have been spending a lot of time at the Children's Museum. They have a great area for Ian to play in called the "TOT SPOT". It is only for kids 0-36 months and he loves playing with all of the other kids.

Annie and Mia love Spencer right now. He can't pull their ears yet!!!

Some of the "trouble" that Ian is getting in:)

Ian tries to follow Annie out of the doggie door at Mom's house. He can't get his butt through but that doesn't stop him from trying:)

SOOOOOO glad he figured out he can climb on the coffee table. LOL

Ian "helping" me unload the dishwasher.

Ian and Spencer at the same age in the same outfit. (Spencer is first)

Ian's new tricycle!! He can't use the pedals yet but it won't be long. And the best part... IT HAS A TON OF BUCKLES. Ian spends half the time on it trying to figure out what else he can buckle up:)

Ian loves playing in the water and is very independent. We put him in some water wings and he was in heaven. He loves going under the water and blowing bubbles.

Spencer hanging out by the pool:)

Spencer's 2 month appointment and first shots. Poor guy:(

After the appointment he slept ALL day.

15 months

Once again I am behind on the blog:(
December

Ian *aka* Gorton's Fisherman
At the end of December Whitney went duck hunting with some guys from work. They got a lot of birds and had a great time.

January

Ian "helping" me pack for the weekend:)
About one week before baby Spencer joins us:)
I had to go in for my c-section at 5:30am on January 19th. Jeff and Steph were nice enough to babysit Ian the night before so that we did not have to worry about him at the hospital. This was the first time that I had left Ian anywhere over night. It made me so sad but I am glad he had so much fun playing with Reed and Grant.
Waiting for doctor on the BIG day!!!
Introducing Spencer Locke Beck
Born 1/19/2012
7lbs 4oz.
20.5 inches
The next day Ian came to visit and meet Spencer for the first time . He was a little upset at first and refused to come to me and give me a hug. He finally began to warm up to Spencer and me. He thought Spencer might like a cracker!!!

Home
When we finally got home from the hospital I needed some help taking care of Ian and Spencer while recovering from the c-section. Mom was nice enough to stay the first week and Anne came to help out the next week. Shannon and Dad will be coming to visit soon too. I am feeling better now but it was great having help for a few weeks.
Finally back home!! Warm and cozy:)
Ian has decided climbing is his new hobby. He climbed into his walker all by himself, then tried to get out... This was the result:)

Ian wore himself out climbing on EVERYTHING!!!!
Spencer's first bath.
He is not really a fan of bathing.

Mom and I took the boys to Barnes and Noble to get Ian a few new books. We thought we were not going to get Ian to leave the play area!!! He LOVES trains and trucks:)

We ventured out of the house a few more times with both boys. Ian loved riding in the big boy seat at Target since Spencer took his normal spot in the cart:)

When Anne came to visit we took the boys to the park to get Ian out of the house. He was going a little stir crazy! Anne was a good sport and chased him through the play area, climbed through the tunnels, and went down the slides.
Swinging at the park.
